Summer Courses FAQ's

Clothing on session:

  • Swim wear to wear under a wetsuit
  • Shoes that can get wet (Old Trainers / Closed toe shoes / No flip flops or sliders)

Other:

  • Personal medication that is needed
  • Drinks / light Snack (Half Day Activities)
  • Packed Lunch & Drinks (Full Day Activities)
  • Towel
  • Plastic bag to hold wet kit
  • £1 coin for a locker
  • Glasses strap if you wear them!
  • Warm clothing to get changed into after your session
  • Suncream

All holiday courses are inclusive of changing and briefing time.

So please arrive around 5-10 minutes before the start time, your instructor will meet you at the start time, outside the centre’s front doors.

Participants will come off the water around 20 minutes before the session finish time to allow for changing, therefore please ensure that pick up has been arranged for the advertised session end time.

Participants will need to be signed in and out of the session, we need prior parental/guardian notice before the session if the participant will be arriving / leaving by themselves. This information will need to be either written into the questionnaire that is filled in during the booking process, or emailed to watersportscentre@scll.co.uk.

Salford Watersports Centre is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all participants. To ensure the well-being of everyone and promote a positive experience, we have established a code of conduct. By booking on to a session/course or attending the centre, you are agreeing to this code of conduct.

If anyone breaks this code, we will remove them from the session and no refunds will be made.

  • All participants must be able to swim at least 25m and be comfortable in water. Whilst they don’t need to be the best swimmer, they need to be comfortable swimming and in /around water.
  • Please see age requirements for each activity – if we suspect that a child is under age, then we will ask you to provide a passport / birth certificate. This is for the safety of your child.

For all youth activity courses/sessions, there is a strict 5 day cancellation policy. If you cancel within 5 days of the course/session starting then there will be no refunds or transfers.

Illness/medical cancellations – If you can provide a medical note from a GP – we will refund up to 50% of the course provided that the course hasn’t started. Once the course/session has started then there will be no refunds.

In the rare event that we have to cancel, we will offer you a full refund or offer an alternative option if one is available.
