Help repair and protect our Watersports Centre!

Here at the Helly Hansen Watersports Centre, we are part of Salford Community Leisure, a not for profit community benefit society whose purpose is to enhance peoples lives through leisure opportunities.

We need your support to help us continue to provide Watersports for all.

You may not be aware that the centre recently experienced some vandalism which resulted in significant damage to key pieces of equipment and the theft of some Watersports kit. This meant that we were unable to re-open the Wake Park as planned and we also had to cancel open water swimming and watersports sessions to deal with the issue.

Alongside the recent damage, Covid-19 has had an enormous impact on the outdoor industry, across the country. Outdoor education is invaluable to both adults and children, the benefits are endless. We want to continue to offer Watersports activities to people of all abilities and backgrounds, we are proud to be part of the Quays and our aim is to provide accessible opportunities for all the community and your funding would help us achieve this.

Funding would enable the repair of the Wake Park obstacles and improve the programme of Watersports sessions on offer. It would also mean a team of divers could be hired to investigate the orientation of the anchors on the floor of the basin and explore other safety measures that could be introduced.

We have been overwhelmed with all the support and lovely comments we have received in the last few weeks.

Thank you so much for your continued support, if you would like to make a donation to our cause, please click on the link below which will take you to our just giving page.

Thank you,
