You must read and understand these terms and conditions before booking and attending a session.

All participants in any Watersports activity are doing so at their own risk.

GENERAL

  • Users must comply with all safety regulations and make themselves aware of any rules and instructions, including warning notices.
  • Be aware of any required activity information and starting times
  • Any damages to property or equipment due to misuse will be chargeable.
  • Smoking is not permitted in the facility this includes the outdoor areas
  • All personal property left in the facilities is done so at the owners own risk.
  • The minimum age of the participant is 8yrs (Expect Open Water Swimming, please see OWS FAQ’s)

BOOKING TERMS

  • No provisional bookings will be accepted.
  • Payment in full is required at the time of the booking by cash or credit/debit card unless your organisation requires an invoice, in which case you will be required to pay within 7 days upon receipt of the invoice. If your organisation requires a Purchase Order number to be quoted on the invoice the hirer must provide this at the time of booking.
  • Salford Community Leisure Ltd reserve the right to pass any outstanding unpaid debt on to a third party company for collection. The interest and cost incurred by Salford Community Leisure Limited in employing the third party will be passed on to you, including any costs in tracing you.
  • All bookings are not for re-sale and non-transferable.

CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER

  • For instructor-led sessions (Schools, Groups, Parties & 1-1s), you must notify the centre via watersportscentre@scll.co.uk of your wish to cancel no later than 21days prior to your booking.
  • For Wakepark, Hire, Clubs and Open Water Swimming sessions you must request a refund through EOLA and notify the centre via watersportscentre@scll.co.uk of your wish to cancel no later than 5 days prior to your booking.
  • If you have to cancel due to COIVD-19 & self-isolation, you’ll need to provide us with evidence of this.For all summer activity courses/sessions, there is a strict 5 day cancellation policy. If you cancel within 5 days of the course/session starting then there will be no refunds or transfers. Illness/medical cancellations – If you can provide a medical note from a GP – we will refund up to 50% of the course provided that the course hasn’t started. Once the course/session has started then there will be no refunds. In the rare event that we have to cancel, we will offer you a full refund or offer an alternative option if one is available.

CANCELLATION BY SALFORD WATERSPORTS

  • Salford Watersports Centre reserves the right to suspend or cancel a session/course/activity at any time in the event of an activity being unsafe to operate. This may be due to adverse weather conditions, environment agency advice and equipment failure, or an adverse event, act, omission or accident which happens which is beyond our reasonable control.
  • Salford Watersports Centre will refund in full or offer an alternative booking if we cancel a booking but will not be responsible for any other costs howsoever incurred by the Hirer and guests.
  • If any booked session is cancelled or terminated by the Salford Watersports Centre due to a serious or repeated breach of these terms by the hirer the hirer shall remain liable for the fees due for the session and any cost incurred to recover such fees.

SAFETY & BEHAVIOUR

  • Safety is of paramount importance to us at Salford Watersports Centre, anyone that compromises the safety of our clients and team will be asked to leave immediately. There is a zero-tolerance policy in operation with regard to abuse, verbal or otherwise towards staff or other users.
  • Users must be willing to comply with all safety regulations and make themselves aware of any rules and instructions, including warning notices.

Medical:

  • You must inform Salford Watersports Centre of any medical issues, illness or disability that may affect you taking part in an activity.
  • No one should attend if they have COVID-19 symptoms or are in self-isolation.

Schools/Groups:

  • The group leader is responsible for the behaviour and conduct of the group whilst at Salford Watersports Centre, your participants must be adequately supervised at all times.
  • The group leader is responsible for collating participant information forms and ensuring they have been completed prior to the session.
  • The group leader must ensure all their guests in attendance do not take part in any session or activity for which they may not be fit.

INDEMNITY

  • All hirers who are deemed by the Salford Watersports Centre to be offering a structured, supervised session, part of a business undertaking (including self-employed enterprise) or are under affiliation to a governing body or club, should indemnify the centre against any claim for loss or damage, death or personal injury arising from the hirer’s or hirer’s members negligent or wilful misuses of premises, including any damage, however, caused, by the hirer of the premises. The above indemnity must be covered by public liability insurance for a minimum sum of £10 million pounds, proof of which will be required.
  • Where a hirer is deemed by the Salford Watersports Centre to be a social booking that comprises of nothing more than a group of friends/colleagues, no proof of indemnity is required.
  • You will be compensated for any loss or damage you may suffer if SCLL fail to carry out obligations under this agreement or to a reasonable standard or breach any duties imposed on SCLL by law, unless that failure is attributable to; i) Your own fault ii) A third party unconnected with provision of services. iii) Events which neither SCLL nor SCLL suppliers could have foreseen even if all reasonable care had been taken. • All personal property left in the facilities is done so at the owners own risk. A limited amount of personal property lockers are available in the facility but availability is not guaranteed.
