Salford Paddlesports Club – Membership is OPEN!
You may or may not be aware but back in August we launched
Salford Paddlesports Club with the goal of building and growing a community of paddlers right here at Salford Quays!
It has been a huge success and we have honestly met some awesome people over the past 10 weeks, skills have developed and we’ve had so much fun along the way. For our team it really is a highlight of the week, getting to go out on the water with this fab bunch, relax and have fun, we even have staff on days off and booking on to it
We’ve have a great bunch of regulars now and every week we’ve welcomed new faces on the induction. Over the past 10 weeks the membership wasn’t ‘live’ whilst we were getting the club up and running, but we’re delighted to say that we have now opened up the membership and this is available to purchase now on our website. Going forward, all club session attendees will need to have an active membership. Non members can attend the induction prior to purchasing a membership.
We do have a limit on memberships which will review once we reach that point.
Once you are a member, you can join the members only group which is attached to their Facebook page.
If you’re thinking about joining, here’s some more info about our club:
- Open to Adults and Juniors 14yrs+
- We aim to become a club run by it’s members, we want to grow and build this community.
- No kit? No problem – We can provide boats and you can also hire wetsuits.
- No prior experience needed, we just ask that you are water confident, can swim unaided for 100m and can take part in physical activity in / around cold water. During the induction the club will go through the basics and give you as much help as we can along the way, there will also be dedicated skill sessions available on club sessions to improve technique.
Session times and winter schedule:
As winter is coming… we have now moved over to a winter schedule, which at the minute is a Sunday afternoons 12:30 – 14:00. We will be mixing these up with some evening moonlight sessions throughout the winter until we’re back to Monday evenings in April.
We’re also hosting a special member only Halloween Spooky Paddle in the dark on Monday 30th October!!!

- Adult Membership: £22per year
- Junior Membership: £18per year
Please see each club sessions for fees as they vary in price, normal club sessions are £7 for use of centre kit or £5 if you are bringing your own.
