Salford Watersports Centre is a thriving Watersports Activity and Outdoor Education Centre situated in the heart of Salford Quays. The centre is open all year round and offers a huge range of activities, no two days are the same at SWC but here are just a few things that we do:

  • Provide high quality Outdoor Education experiences to schools and education groups across the northwest and sometimes, overseas!
  • Deliver fantastic, exciting and great value for money Watersports experiences to a wide range of people and groups, such as Stand-Up Paddleboard and Kayak hire, Children’s birthday parties, corporate team building events, Hen and Stag parties and much, much more!
  • We run one of the largest Open Water Swimming programmes in the Northwest, offering Open Water Swimming all year round.

 The posts are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check – currently £44.00. The payment deductions for any employees who need DBS checks will be taken in 2 payments of £22. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £44.00.

Positions Available

We’re looking to appoint several enthusiastic Watersports instructors for our 2025 season!

 Our Watersports Activity Instructors primary mission is to deliver high quality, safe, fun and education Watersports coaching to schools, community groups and the members of the public.

As we have a wide range of activities on offer at the centre, our instructors also assist with the delivery of the wider watersports programme such as Open Water Swimming and assisting on some fantastic events that are held at the centre.

The role also includes working alongside the management and facility team, maintaining the site and care of the equipment.

What we need from you

You will be qualified Watersports instructor with at least 1 national governing body coaching qualification and a valid first aid certificate.

Training Opportunities Available:

There is a Paddlesports Instructor course running at the centre late March / Early April. We have reserved spaces potential instructors who are looking to work for us this year but who haven’t yet got a formal qualification.
