Give stand up paddle boarding or kayaking a try at Salford Quays!

These sessions are perfect if you want to practice your skills or just have some fun. They provide an excellent opportunity to get out on the water either.

Due to Covid-19, we are operating slightly different than normal, all our sessions must be booked online prior to your visit, you must not turn up to a session without booking. There is also a 30-minute gap in between each session so we can ensure all the kit used is cleaned.

Due to local restrictions, you must only book and attend sessions with your household or support bubble. These groups must be no bigger than 6, please note the rule of 6 applies to total visitors, not just those on the water.

Your household is defined as the people you live with and any support or childcare bubble.

A support bubble is where a household with one adult joins with another household. Households within a bubble can still visit each other, stay overnight, and visit public places together.

A childcare bubble is where someone in one household can provide informal (i.e. unpaid and unregistered) childcare to a child aged 13 or under in another household. This must occur on an exclusive basis – always the same two households.

Prices: per hour slot
  •  £10 per adult
  • £6 per junior

The minimum age is 8yrs, 8-10yr olds must have an adult with them at all times.

Please ensure your group size complies with the latest government guidance, from Monday 14th September,  due to the local restrictions, you must not attend any sessions with people you don’t live with or who are not in your social bubble. Also, groups must be no larger than 6 people. Please see https://www.gov.uk/guidance/north-west-of-england-local-restrictions-what-you-can-and-cannot-do for more details. The centre reserves the right to refuse access to any groups who we believe are not complying with these rules, no refunds will be given.

24-hour cancelation policy – No transfers. Refunds must be requested through Eventbrite at least 24 hours before the session. The centre cannot refund past this point.

How it works:

What to bring:

  • Clothes that can get wet, we recommend shorts/t-shirt or gym clothes – Everyone must be suitably covered (no bare chest/or just bikini, etc)
  • You MUST bring some shoes that can get wet – old trainers will do – no flip flops.
  • Towel or dryrobe to help you get changed after your session.

When you arrive:

  • The majority of indoor facilities (changing rooms and toilets) are closed so we do ask that you turn up to your session already dressed to head out on the water.
  • Sign in – either at reception or at the desk in front of our entrance.
  • You’ll then be allowed in the watersports gated area where you can choose either a SUP or a KAYAK and be given a buoyancy aid.
  • Head out on to DOCK 8 (our main basin), you are allowed anywhere within this dock, if the wake park is running, the wake area is closed off with lane ropes.
  • We’ll ask you to start making your way back to the slipway 5/10 mins before the end of the session.

Session times and how-to book:

All users even if you have been to the centre before must register online before you book. If you are purchasing the family pass, you just need to register one person, then book your slot. You’ll then need to complete a group consent form. If you are booking on as an individual, you must register each person and book on as individuals. You can use the same email for multiple accounts, however, you must use a different password for each. If you have any problems, please see our troubleshooter.

We are operating under strict numbers/ratios per session so you must book before you visit. We will not accept bookings if you have not pre-booked. Please read our COVID-19 policy
